Noticed A Movable Lump On The Sides Of The Knuckle

Hi, I have recently had surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy for breast cancer. The cancer had spread to the axillary lymph nodes, but bone and ct scans showed no cancer elsewhere. Now I have found a moveable lump situated by the side of my knuckle on my hand. Is this likely to be a ganglion or should I be worried that it is a metastasis lump from the cancer?

A movable lump at the side of knuckle after breast surgery should be seen with high degree of suspicion you should go for FNAC ( Fine needle aspiration cytology of the lump near the knuckle to rule out the possibility of metastasis.

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. You may have ganglion or some otger benign tumour. There is very rare chance of metastatic breast cancer. But you should go for fine needle aspiration cytology or excision biopsy. It will give you exact diagnosis. Then you should take treatment accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
