Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

Breast milk production is a demand and supply issue and the best production takes place when the infant is suckling. As your daughter has stopped breast feeding you cannot get more milk just by using a breast pump. Latching can be initiated under proper guidance from a health care provider which can increase the production of breast milk. Otherwise removal by the breast pump at regular interval is the only other alternative. Unfortunately medicines do not increase the production of breast milk substantially.

I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.

Wishing you and your daughter all the best.
