The information you have been given is incorrect. I would like to know the level of your Carotid disease and then only a decision can be taken whether to operate, stent or manage medically can be taken. Most important are your symptoms or problems due to the Carotid disease. Do you have any history of any weakness in any of the limbs, abnormal speech or sudden onset blindness. Also, what is the report of your color Doppler or CT or MRI. Let me know those and depending on the percentage of your Internal Carotid artery block can I suggest the appropriate treatment. Pleas also let me know your age and whether you suffer from any other diseases? Take care and look forward to hearing from you. Dr Rishi from Delhi, India.
