Need Advice On The Results Of An X-ray Stating Streaky Infiltrates And Hilar Lymphadenopathies

I have the results of an xray for my 5 year old daughter stating that "Streaky infiltrates are seen in both lower lobes with Hilar lymphadenopathies", what does it mean?and what is the best food for this kind of diseases. We will proceed to her pediatrician after this...

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

She must be having pneumonia which can be viral or bacterial in origin. She needs to get clinically examined by a pediatrician immediately and proper medications are to be started. Children can develop respiratory complications within a short period of time. Even if she is comfortable its better to follow up with your doctor regularly. Food may include home cooked soft diet made with less oil. Also give her plenty of fluids.
