Neck, Cervical Pain, Sharp Shoulder Blade Pain, Diagnosed With Degen Joint And Disc, Fibromyalgia. Medicines Ineffective. Advise?

I have had neck & cervical pain for years!y neck crunches when I rotate it & it's been 1 yr that I have had on & off burning pain on the right side of my upper neck! I get no relief & no help from any doctors! I was diagnosed from one doc w/ degen joint & disc & 2 other docs after that told me I have fibromyalgia. I believe I do have that because I have all the symptoms that go along w/ it, but I have been on 40 mgs cymbalta, 300 mgs of lyrica, & doc added about a 7 months ago sevella. None of them help! I weaned off of the cymbalta, weaned down to 100 mgs of lyrica, & kept the sevella for now. I also have (now for 13 yrs) sharp, stabbing pains in my back shoulder blades. In 2005 I thought having a breast reduction would help the pain. It didnt. I have tried chiropractors, massage, heat, ice, Motrin, Tylenol, Soma,etc, you name it!! Had had X-rays & MRIs over the years too! Still no relief!

Hello,

The cause of the pain in the neck and shoulder seem to be due to nerve root involvement because of degenerative joints.
Medicines will only help to reduce the symptoms.
Physiotherapy under supervision may help.
If not then surgery is the next option.
