My mom just got put on hospice. Her lung function is 19% and she has had aortic valve replacement twice. Her last in 2011. I believe her heart is only functioning at 24%. What is her prognosis? She sleeps a lot, easily distracted, and her overall self has been getting worse. Retaining more fluid and having more accidents. She just had a GOOD exacerbation and was in ICU for 3 days.
