My Father Is 90 And Recently Had And Is Continuing

My father is 90 and recently had and is continuing to have issues during catheterized urination. He was hospitalized recently and put on continual catheter usage. During the hospital stay they removed simvastatin. Now that he is home the home health care PA told them to go back on the drug. Is this an issue with Kidney output? And is it not recommended for elderly patients with Kidney output and blood clotting in the urine?
