My Doctor Switched My Gerd Medicine From Prevacid To Lansoprazole. Can I Go Back To Prevacid?

Thank you. My husband had three uncoated metal stents inserted last September and his doctor switched his gerd med from prevacid to lansoprazole. This type of stent was used because he had to have kidney surgery and the stent situation was discovered during pre-op clearance testing. Can he go back to his prevacid now? We are having trouble getting the doctor to return calls.
