i think it works like this piyush. you have a water supply network and one or two houses dont get water, you go replace the pipes or remove the blok right? why will you try to remove or check all the pipeline? only the ones leading to problem you check and work on it right? same way if there is a block then only it will be found and replaced na. in the beginning there is no block that is why you and me are still normal.

Stents cannot be placed be default in all the vessels without confirming the severity and presence of lesion.

Ther are usually three main vessles for the heart. If one is blocked the stent is put for the blocked vessel. But the stent usually be there for 4-5 years, i donot understand why your father needs other stend for the same vessel. Is he taking the medications properly. Are his cholesterol under control. The vessels may get reblocked if he is not taking the medications properly, not mainting his cholesterol levels.

stents are mesh like subtances used ...they will be inserted into the blood vessel which supply the heart...will help to strenthen it so that it will not be blocked ..and there is proper blood supply to the heart...
