My dad is in the hospital. He has pneumonia. They gave him medicine for it over a week ago and a few days ago he started to pass out from coughing so much. The medicine wasn't working. He went to the doctor and they kept him in the hospital. He has low potassium and they tried giving him potassium but it made his levels drop even lower then what it was to begin with. My dad already has heart problems and has a pace maker. He also has very bad diabetes. The doctors don't know what's wrong. He is still coughing. Could he have blood clots in his lungs or is there something else I can suggest to the doctors here?
