My brother told us that he was suffering from lymphedema. His legs were swollen and seeping liquid. When I first noticed this I thought he had gangrene. It was difficult to visit him because the smell was so abhorrent. He became a recluse and for two years did not leave his house or allow anyone to visit him. Unfortunately he took his life. An autopsy could not be performed. Could the lymphedema have caused such a debilitating situation? He had also used a prep for a colonoscopy that resulted in moderate kidney failure.
