My Brother Has Level I-II Esophageal Cancer. He Was Successfully

My brother has Level I-II Esophageal Cancer. He was successfully treated with chemotherapy and now needs to have a Esophagectomy. In Michigan MSU is the best rated hospital for this surgery and has been recommended by his oncologist, a director at Karmanos Cancer Center, and every doctor we've spoken to. The problem is that his Priority Health HMI does not include MSU in it's network. He has made an appeal to Prioity Health, but it does not look good. Proving MSU has the best surgical team for this procedure (they do 150 of these a year) has been difficult. Nobody at the hospitals wants to put any thing in writing. How can does my brother prove to Priority Health that it is worth it for them to approve out of network coverage for him to get the surgery at MSU?
