My blood pressure was running too high and bp med was not getting it down. Dr took me off of it as was causing high potassium count. Being off reduced potassium but bp still elevated. 140s, 150s/90s, 100s.
Put me on hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg. after wanting me to stay off of any bp meds for days. Did not lower it. He told me to double it. Started taking 25 mg yesterday. This evening my bp count was 147/100 and with 103 heart rate at 9:50 pm. At 10:30 was lying down and could feel heart racing and pounding in chest. no pain. Racing ever since. Is this dangerous? Anything I can do to stop heart racing.
