My BP has jumped from 125/80 to 155/90 the last 6 months. I blame stress, weight gain, and too much drinking. I have started a new change in life style, no red meat, beer, and regular exercise with the intention of learning some yoga. I am a 63 yr old male, 5'6" at 190lbs, having gained 30lbs in the last 6 months. How long should I give this before I seek medication as my last resort?
