My 53 year old daughter with Down's Syndrome had an MRI that showed cerebral atrophy. They said it was the whole brain. Over the past 7 months, she has forgotten how to tie her shoes, has moments where she forgets how to dress/undress. Can't find her scissors (even though she picked them up and looked under them while looking for her scissors). Last week, she went 8 days without eating well....just not interested and slept almost around the clock. From Sunday to Friday, she probably was not awake a full 24 hours. What can I expect with this cerebral atrophy? What should I watch for?
