Muscles Hurt, Barely Move, Ache And Stiffness. What Can Be Done?

For the past few years all of my muscles hurt very bad and I can barely move. A year ago I went to my family dr and he began to treat me for arthritis as I could not determine where the pain was coming from. We tried several different medicines but no relief. This year my gall bladder had to be removed and it was in very bad shape. After that occurred in May, I was able to isolate that the pain is in my muscles. If I attempt any kind of physical activity like walking much at work (hotel desk clerk) I get so stiff and hurt so much in my muscles that I can barely move and this pain does not go away ever. I stopped having my menstrual cycle in January. No hot flashes or cold sweats. I am 47, weight 369lbs and have no medical problems except morbid obesity. For 2 weeks, I am not able to sleep and most of what I eat makes my abdominal area ache or causes indigestion. I cannot continue to tolerate the muscle pain because it never subsides, not for days or weeks; it just continues to ache and stiffness .

Hi, The two main problems with that I can sort out are your overweight/Obesity and Lack of exercise. Your job of desk clerk which is sitting job more often might aggravate the situation. Arthritis symptoms might add due to overweight and age, but the muscle problem is bothering you more.

I suggest you to do regular walking, staring slowly and regularly and increasing day after day. This should be done by taking regular muscle relaxant tablets under doctor's supervision.
You can undergo Bariatric surgery which have long term and better results to reduce your weight and trust me more than half of your problems reduce dramatically after you reduce your weight. So, have a serious thought on undergoing Bariatric surgery by consulting a Bariatric surgeon. It gives promising long term results than Liposuction.
