Muscle Pains, Aches Throughout The Body, No Relief With Physiotherapy, Resulting In Low Motivation. Any Ideas?

I wake up in the morning and have new muscle aches seemingly for no reason which then don t go away. At the moment I have 7 different pains throughout my body some of which I have had for a few years. The doctor sends me to physio which has been no good. I have lost motivation, stopped exercising and generally feel like crap. Any ideas?

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi Thomas,
Thanks for writing in to Healthcare Magic!
Your symptoms if they are there for quite sometime, are suggestive of some neuropsychiatric syndrome like Fibromyalgia syndrome, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or may be just mild depression or excess day to day stress.
If they are of acute onset then it may be simply a viral syndrome.
You should continue the exercise, a good quality regular exercise is a modality, a component of combination therapy for fibromyalgia.
You should get prescription medicines from your physician, there are good medicines on the markets that can be potentially helpful.

If you have any further query please let me know I would try to answer it for you.
Wish you a great health!

Internal Medicine Specialist Dr. Mayank Bhargava's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
Do you have history of fall or injury in past week?
Have you done brisk exercise in past few days?
Do you have fever/ sore throat/ running nose/ itching in eyes/ cough?
There may be possibility of common cold/ muscle fatgue due to exercise/ myositis.
You should consult with physician and should go for CPK-MB.
You should take antibiotics (to prevent secondary bacterial infection), anti-inflammatory and anti-histaminics, if you are diagnosed as common cold.
You should take muscle relaxants with do strict bed rest.
Take Care,
Dr. Mayank Bhargava
