Mild Bouts Of Acne With Recurrent Sores On Right Side Of Face

I am 51, female, have had mild bouts of acne all my life. For past 6-8 months, I have been getting recurrent sores on the right side of my face only. They don't come to a head like a pimple. They itch and sometimes hurt. They form a bit of a crust as they heal. Clear fluid comes out if squeezed. Went to doctor 3 months ago and was treated with a cream for impetigo which didn't really help. Is this a menopausal issue or dermatological issue? I was also put on an antibiotic for 10 days which did nothing. I have had cold sores on and off through my life but only on my lips. What could this be?
