Lump On Neck And Chin. Normal Cbc Results. Cause Of Problem?

I have a 17 year old daughter who has a small pea size lump on the left side of her neck and a walnut size lump below the chin. We had a cbc performed and the gp says the results are normal. GP says could be an infection. Recommend to boost immune strengthening food and revisit in 4 weeks time. Could you suggest what the problem could be and how it should be dealt with?

Hello dear
Thanks for your query at Hcm
Lump in the neck that is of pea size and easily mobile i would consider cervical lymphadenopathy .
Lymphnodes are structures that drain lymph from organs , they get enlarged when ever there is infection .
Your doctor was correct that it could be due to infection in tonsil or upper respiratory tract .
Source for the infection has to be found out . If it is treated size of lump will decrease .
Regards.
