Lump In Shoulder Muscle, sore, moving Sensation.Any Treatment Or Suggestion?
I have a lump on the front of my bicep muscle approximately 2 inches down from my shoulder bone. It has been there for approximately 2 weeks and is sore if I irritate it at all by massage or just checking to see if it has decreased in size. It is approximately a blueberry size and seems to move fairly freely, mind you it stays in the same spot. Are there lymph nodes in this area? I have made an appointment with the doctor but looking for some knowledgeable advice.
A sore swelling indicates that it is of inflammatory in origin. There will not be any lymph nodes in the area you have specified.
Consult your treating physician for a clinical examination and management.
In the meantime, follow the below mentioned recommendations -
* Rest the part and avoid any movements that produces pain * Apply ice or a cold pack to the painful area for 15 to 20 minutes, 4 times a day for several days. Wrap the ice or cold pack in a towel. * Take ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin) or acetaminophen (Tylenol) to help relieve pain * When the acute pain is gone, start gentle stretching exercises. Stay within pain limits.
Hope this information is helpful. Good day
