Lost Both Testicles After Being Kicked In Groin. What Causes Testicles To Die In Adolescent?

My 19-year-old son has lost both his testicles over a period of about three years after being kicked in the groin at age 11. His first symptoms were swelling of the scrotum. He was seen in the ER and an unltrasound was performed. The ultrasound showed that there was no torsion and the testicles were getting blood. He experienced these symptoms off and on, and each time ultrasounds were performed with no diagnosis. Eventually, both testicles died, and we were not given any explanation as to why this happened. What can cause the testicles to die in an adolescent? Why would they appear normal and then just die?

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, 'die' did it mean non functioning ? if this the meaning then there would not be production of sperm anymore, being doctor I would like to ask you for the exact explanation, or the word used in usg report "die" did not create any sense, I would be happy to help you for your further query, have nice day.
