Losing Voice, Getting Hoarse, Breathing Difficulty, Cough, Had Frontal Cervical Spine Surgery With Fusion And Cadaver Bone. Suggestion

Yes, Dr. Grief. My name is Linda Wright. I have had a problem with losing my voice, getting hoarse, not being able to sing like I once did for a couple years. I also have some difficulty breating or feeling like I am getting enough air. My throat stays dry and is now sore most of the time; feverish pain, difficulty swallowing sometimes, thirsty all the time and despite all my medication for Chronic Fibromyalgia and Early Onset Alzheimer's I still seem to run a low grade fever. I have seen an EENT doctor and am scheduled to go back in July. I also have a cough that doesn't go away and leads to choking. The last few days I have begun to not only feel hot pain in my throat but also in my ears. I had frontal cervical spine surgery with fusion and cadaver bone December 2009.

Have you got hoarseness of voice after your surgery? Was surgery dine under general anesthesia with endotracheal intubation? Do you take pain killers? Please maintain good hydration and take tab. Pantoprazole with domperidone twice daily before meals. Also you need to check your vocal cords by an ENT Doctor.
