Loose Stools With Blood, Cramps, Pain In Pelvic Area. Solution For The Problem?

I have blood in my stool . I had colon resection in 2001. and on May 2012, I had D & C. My stool is loose, usually not diarrhea , very soft. I notice during first or second of the month, I have cramps and pain on my pelvic area even if I am already post-menopausal. What should I do? And what specialist do I have to see? I have scheduled myself for Colonoscopy on January. Please advice.

Hi,
you have to meet gasteroenterologist first because you already had history of resection of colon and has blood in stools. You require sonogram of abdomen to focus on intestine and pelvic structures Based on its report, colonoscopy planned.Meantime take high fiber with iron rich diet
