Last Saturday, I woke up with a bad pain in my right kidney area, followed by a half hour of dry heaves. I applied heat to the kidney area. I did not throw up my Friday night meal (I had no alcohol in my system) but had severe dry heaves, causing extreme pain in my back muscles from wrenching. Within an hour, the dry heaves stopped and the pain in my back ceased. I returned to practically normall and enjoyed the rest of the weekend and following week. Within an hour I ate some chicken soup and regular meals the rest of the week. Then this morning, out of the blue, I awoke with a series of belching and reacurrence of the sore kidney area followed by a half hour of uncontrollable dry heaves. The experience was a near perfect duplicate of last week's situation. It also ended abruptly and I proceed to carry out my normal routine, which include taking a golf lesson. I guess my primary concern is, why would I have similar kidney area pain and dry heaves precisely one week apart. I had no fever associated with either incident. I'm almost afraid to make any plans for next weekend, for fear that this condition will return.
