Large Areas Of Purple Lesions Under Forearm Skin, Bleeding Even If Touched Lightly. What Could Be This?

I am 49 year old female Who started developing Fairly large areas of purple Lesions under the skin That bleed if touched even lightly. I can go to bed and wake up with New spot that were not there The night before. They only appear on the forearm Between the elbow and wrist. Any idea what may be going on? Thank you, I have pictures if I'm able to send.

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Usually this may be due to decrease in count of platelets, ( normal range is 150,000 to 450000).
If platelets comes down 40000 then there are chances of bleeding underneath skin as in your case.
if still falls than bleeding from many other portions as from nose etc.
2nd chance may be due to Hyper tension (high blood pressure) .
Due to very high B P small blood vessels ruptures & develops hemorrhage .
3 rd may be due to hormonal imbalance.
Consult a physician and get his opinion as physical finding is very important.
Get in complete blood examination.
