Knee Injury. Lump Under Knee, Hard, Pain When Applying Pressure. What Could This Be?
I fell off my bike two months ago and landed on my right knee and have a ball-like lump just underneath to the right of the knee.when my leg is bent you cannot see it but when my leg is straight it is very visible. it feels very hard, is giving me no pain apart from when i put pressure on it. do you know what this could be?
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The appearance of a lump below the knee after a fall is likely to be due to a hematoma formation. This is suggestive of an internal soft tissue injury. If there is no pain or discomfort then you may consider waiting for a while for it to subside spontaneously.
