I've had an extreme pain for the last week. First, in a very precise location right above my ear. It was very sharp, would come in waves and lasted about 4 days. Then the pain moved to right below my ear, and now it feels like a birthing contraction - tightening and pulling. I also now have a swollen node behind my ear, which is a little tender. This has gone one for another 3 days. I am on painkillers constantly. I have seen a doctor twice. They told me its probably a drainage issue, as there does seem to be some fluid at the back of my ear (which they detected today). They said the node swelling and pain could continue for 4weeks!?!? If it hasn't gone away in 4 weeks, then I could come back
