Itchy Thighs And Scrotum. No Relief After Using Zincoderm

Hello Doctor,

I'm a 18 year old and i have been having some problem between my thighs around the scrotum for the past two years, it is very itchy and when i scratch it it becomes white and for the past one year i've been getting itchy feeling in my testicles too with smelly sweat when scratched especially at night and I've been using zincoderm and dipsalic after a while of research in the internet but now it is getting very irritating and depressing so i want to completely cure myself of this problme
so please help me

Hello,
The symptoms as mentioned in your post suggest that you might be having fungal infection in the scrotal area.

Management includes:
1. Keeping the area dry & avoid too much exposure to water or sweat formation.
2. Antihistamine preparations like cetirizine to provide symptomatic relief.
3. Application of topical antifungal cream to tackle the causative organism.
4. Topical antibiotics can also be applied to prevent secondary bacterial infections.

If symptoms still persist or aggravate further, then it will be better to consult a Dermatologist & get a proper examination done to find out the actual cause.
So that appropriate management steps could be taken.

Also avoid wearing tight underwear & trousers...as it will cause sweating & predispose to infections.
