Itchy Red Bumps And Raised Hard, Warm Lump With Swelling On Arm. History Of Flea Bite And Staph Infection. Advice
age 26, I got bite by what I thought was a flea at school last Thursday. It started out as a little red itching dot, my arm turned red in that area and began to swell. My arm is still very itchy and now there are 2 bumps the initial one and another in the middle of a penny sized raised lump that is hard and warm and surrounded by swelling the size of a lemon. I had Staph infection before and was hospitalized for 6 days with emergency surgery.
Sorry to hear about your problem. From the description of your symptoms it looks like you are developing an infection over the bite area and it is spreading to the surrounding structures (cellulitis). This requires immediate intervention in the form of antibiotics and possible drainage of pus. You should visit a doctor/ Er immediately and have this condition evaluated.
Hello & thanks for your Q on HCM
It seems you have developed secondary infection (?/ bacterial) in the area of bite mark which needs to be checked over & antibiotic medications need to be started as soon as possible in order to make sure it does not spread any further
Hence I suggest you must consult a Dr as soon as possible
Hope this helps
