Itchy Bumps In Pubic Area That Come And Go, Burning, Occasionally Red. STD?

I've been having severely small/big bumps come & go often in the pubic area. Every time it appears, it'll be red sometimes (like barely) but it always itches. and burns. Some of the bumps comes to a head and I usually pop it & it disappears sometimes. Does this mean I have some kind of STD? or some kind of disease? or is this normal?

Hi,
Welcome and thanks for posting your query to HCM.
It appears from your problem that you are probably suffering from Recurrent folliculitis" of the genital area. These appears due to inflammation of hair gland of the region leading to reddish bumps which can get enlarged and become painful/ itchy. This is due to heat, humidity or certain factors related to hygiene. Kindly do not scratch or pop up any these as can lead to further infection. Maintain hygiene properly, wear cotton clothes and cotton undergarments, changed two times daily. Trim your hair regularly.
For STD's - it is not a part of any Sexually transmitted disease. But as you have asked, so it makes important for the point that whether you are involved in unsafe sex or not. If you are practicing safe sex then there is no or negligible chance of any STD.
So Maintain practice of safe sex!!
Wish you good health.
