Is Whooping Cough Vaccination Advisable Before Seeing A New Born Baby?

My misses is pregnant and insist if i dont get the whopping cough vaccanation i cant be anywhere near my own baby does everyone need it cause she wants every visitor family member friends to have it before our baby is born or else they cant see the baby for at least 2 month s

Hello,

The vaccine is recommended to do in all persons who will be around newborn. But more important is that Babies or children who may not have a normal immune system-such as those with chronic illness or who were born premature deserve extra caution. Anyone with symptoms of illness, especially fever, cough, congestion or rash, should not be around your baby or child regardless of your contacts' vaccination status.
