Is Weight Loss Post Intercourse A Symptom Of HIV?

Sir i have a protected sex 7 weeks before with a prostitute. After some days I get worried about hiv infection. I have get tested negative after six weeks just 2 days before. Till now I have no other symptoms except weight loss near about 10% of my body weight. The sex was also not exactly perfect. I didnot got a good erection and proper insertion. After that I got my pleasure by her hands after removing the condom. May be 1 or 2 times slight insertion. I am in panic. Please suggest and reply the reason of weight loss.

Hi welcome to the health care magic

You have not mentioned which test has been done to detect HIV...

As compare to rapid Elisa and molecular techniques good one..

In fourth generation ELISA testing if HIV positive than positive result comes after approx four week.

So better you investigate with ELISA or western blot like good technique

If Hiv negative than hyperthyroidism, chronic infection, tuberculosis like cause should be ruled out
