Is Walamycin Suspension An Antibiotic?

Is walamycin suspension an antibiotic n has to be followed through it s entire 3/5dwy course or can it jus be administered as and when there is a requirement during loose motions? I hav heard it is the mildest medicine for a chid in loose motions? Pl confirm also what is the recommended dosage

Yes, walamycin is an antibiotic (colistin) commonly prescribed to treat infection of the stomach and intestine caused by susceptible bacteria such as diarrhea. The recommended dose for children is 25 to 100 mg to be given three times daily for 3 to 5 days.
