Is Vibration Plate Machine Only Option To Increase The Bone Density?

hi...i am 59 yrs old, female & has osteopenia with overall T-score for the lumbar spine of neg 1.9 & neg 2.5 for the left femoral neck of hip which is already considered as osteoporis. My dr recommended to continue with taking fosamax(generic), exercise & also using vibration plate machine to increase bone density. A friend takes calcitonin nasal spray instead of oral prescription. so i am wondering if this is a good option as honestly i don t think fosamax works. also what do you think of the vibration machine?t

Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you are suffering from osteporosis . You are taking fosamax, but your friend is taking calcitonin nasal spray. Both these drugs are of different acting by different mechanism. You can take . Exercises specially walking is very important to increase your bone density. You should also got your VitaminD3 checked. If it is low than its supplements can be taken. In my opinion vibration plate has no role. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.
