Is Vasolex Recommended For Pubic And Vaginal Itching?

My elderly mother has extreme itching in the pubic and vaginal area. Her nursing home just told me they have ordered Vasolex ointment to treat it. What I am reading here, makes me think this isn t the right ointment for the problem. What do you think?

I have read your query & understand your concern
. Vasolex ointment your mother has been given- helps healing of ulcers( caused by itching here)/ bed sores by increasing blood supply to the affected part/prevents skin breakages
The main causes of itching in female vulva are infection/ allergy/ dryness of skin/ Diabetes.
Your mother needs a consultation for local examination of the part along with investigations like blood glucose Blood TLC,DLC for knowing allergic factor./ swab testing to find the infecting organism./
This can be followed by specific ointment for her use.
Itching in vulva is mostly not a serious condition- still specially in elderly malignancy needs to be excluded.
