Is Vaginal Spotting Along With Back Ache Due To Implantation?

my husband and i have been trying for a baby for a few months now, and havent got pregnant as of yet, However this month i have all the symptoms, i am bloated, tired all the time, not a lot of energy, tender breasts and nipples. my period is not due for another 6 days and we had intercourse doing the time i was most fertile as well as on my ovulation day. which was on the 12th Febraury. This morning i woke up with red blood not so heavy but comes out when i go to the toilet but pad is needed. i am having back ache but on a scale of 1 - 10 for the cramps its about a 4 only. could this be implantion bleed or my period or a miscarriage. Could i still be pregnant, do i need to do a test or wait till the date of my period is due or to see a doctor.

Hi Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
Yes vaginal spotting along with back-ache you had could be because of implantation & bleeding could be implantation bleeding. Implantation bleeding occurs a week earlier than your expected period as in your case. The bleeding last or 1-2 days only & is lighter in quantity as well as colour compared to menstruation bleeding.
Another possibility of cause of bleeding is bleeding from cervix ( the lower part of uterus). This has no relation to getting pregnant. Cervix has high blood supply & Even when cervix is healthy, vigorous or rough sex as you mentioned can cause some bleeding. This mostly occurs when you have vaginal dryness or less vaginal lubrication.

First of all you should do a pregnancy test. This will rule-out pregnancy possibility. If bleeding persists or reoccurs, it could be because of some abnormality in cervix. Then you are advised for a Pap smear test for diagnosis of any cervix abnormality.

Refer to a gynaecologist.
Hope this information helps
