Is Travelling Safe For A 16-week-pregnant Woman?

Hello I went on a trip which was about 6 hours there and back in total with multiple stops along the way as well as a 4 hour stop. I am 16 weeks pregnant and after the trip I was experiencing lower abdomen pain when walking so bad I had to bunch over to avoid the straining feeling, and it only happened while walking once I laid down I couldn t feel it and it went away by the time I woke up in the morning. I did feel my baby moving so I know the baby is OK. But I d like to know if that s something I should go if for if it happened again after a long car ride

Hello

It would be better for you to have a rest these days and if the pain continues better for you to do an abdominal ultrasound to see the baby.

Regards

Dr.Jolanda
