Is Tiredness Normal After A Concussion?

my son had a mild concussion during a football game on Friday. It is now 4 days later and he has been very tired for the last few days. Is the tiredness normal for a concussion?
My son is 16 years old, and very fit and active. Approx 6' 3, 170 lbs.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this concussion that your son sustained. If he has no other symptoms like headache and excessive sleepiness, then this is normal. Otherwise, please seek medical consultation and possibly a CT scan to rule out any possible brain injury that require more attention.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
