Is Tiredness And Excessive Sleep Often Associated With Head Injury?

i hit the back of my head last monday when i accidentally hit a metal pole while pulling back cables at the gym. I didnt pass out or vomited. I actually felt like it wasnt really a hard blow. After showering, maybe an hour later I felt slightly nauseated and sleepy. (I didnt know if it was because I drank too much red wine from the night before and didnt have much sleep or related to the incident I had) Now, Its been 4 days since I hit my head and I still feel it on the spot where I hit it. It s not that painful but I know its there. Now I feel sleepy and tired all the time. Do I have bleeding or a concussion?

Hi, I understand your concern.

Significant head injury or concussion is usually associated with loss of consciousness, vomiting, seizure episode, blurring of vision, headache etc.Since you din't have any of the above symptoms , it might not be a very serious one.Slight pain at the point of impact will be present for some days.

However you can get a CT brain done to rule out any serious condition.

Hope the answer has helped you.
