Is Throwing Up Post Intake Of Iron Supplements During Pregnancy A Cause For Concern?
My girlfriend is 34 weeks pregnant and just got out of hospital for gestational pre hypertension. The doctor suggested to take her prenatals and add a iron supplement so I gave her them both at the same time about a hour ago and now she is throwing up ill. Should I take her back to the hospital? Why would this be happening? How bad is having pre gestational hypertension? The baby s heart and brain blood flow is normal but her body is just really small and measuring at 30 but she is really 34? Any input? Thanks sincerely vinny

So many questions. :) Thing is gestational hypertension is definitely not good but you can control it. Regarding baby size if hypertension is controlled other things will be controlled too. Now vomiting is one of the main side effects of iron supplements. No need to worry about that. But you definitely need to consult your gynaecologist again.
