Is Thick Clotting Discharge During Menstruation A Concern?
I just started my cycle again about a week after my normal cycle just a couple of days ago. i have always been very regular. There is some thick clotting happening as well. Sounds like there are several causes as to why this is happening. I am trying to get an appt asap. Just curious if there is anything that is most common for my age? I am currently 35 years old.
Hi Bleeding between menses is a cause for concern. It could be related to an issue with your reproductive system or other medical conditions or medications. Potential causes of bleeding between periods in a 35 year-old include: Infections of the reproductive tree including STIs, growth in uterus or cervix/Cancers, Hormonal imbalances, stress and trauma. An STI work-up and a pelvic ultrasound will be needed and hormonal work-ups if need be. I will advise you see a Doctor or a Gynecologist for examination and testings. Hope my answer will help you Best regards
