Is There Any Solution For Chronic Hemorrhoids Without Surgery?

Hi I have piles form last 16 years. I get surgery 2 times in 2009 and 2012. Now I started bleeding again. From last 20 days whenever I go to poo I get scared of seeing so much blood. My HB is 10 right now. Is there any solution without surgery? Can I take any medicine which can help me. Or do anything at home? Please help

Hello,

You are suggested to focus on a correct diet. Take boiled food for a couple of days, allow your hemorrhoids to heal. Avoid use of any type of spices. Avoid fried food, oily hot food as it will trigger your symptoms. Avoid taking red meat as it causes constipation, also avoid all food that cause constipation.

Take warm sitz bath 3-4 times a day to get relieve from pain and discomfort. Keep yourself well hydrated with water and fluids so that you do not have constipation. Avoid constipation and passing hardened stool, do not apply pressure while passing poop. Take laxatives and suppositories. Taking raw or ripe papayas will also help to loosen stool. Take fiber supplements.

Get clinically examined to detect if you have developed anal fissures that are bleeding. Applying ointment Anusol / ointment Pilex or ointment Rectiv can help to give relief. You can take Combiflam or naproxen to get rid of the pain and discomfort.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
