Hello, Welcome to healthcare magic. I understand that you have been using Melacare cream for 3 months now. It contains mometasone furoate, a mid- potent steroid, which should not be used for more than 2 weeks on the face. It can cause side effects like skin whitening, thinning of skin, acneiform eruptions ( small pimple like eruptions which you are currently experiencing). Please stop using Melacare immediately. You may experience burning/ redness/ stinging sometimes when you stop it. These are transient and will subside in 2-4 weeks. In the meantime, use a broad spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 and above every 4 hours. At bedtime, you can apply a light moisturizer to take care of the dryness. Use a mild cleanser like Cetaphil cleansing lotion to wash the face. Avoid scrubs as it could further irritate your face. Face packs which are not very drying in nature are ok to use. Hope this answered your queries. Take care.
