Is There Any Problem For Eating Food Cooked In Plastic Utensil?

2 days ago I was cooking pasta with plastic utencils. They kept melting so I kept using new ones, and when the pasta was done it was in a thicker creamy water broth. It tasted good actually so I ate it, and didn t realize until now that it must have been melted plastic. Will I be ok?

hi there, plastics are known to contain lots of carcinogenic compounds and so I would advise you to stop cooking or heating or eating any hot stuff in a plastic container. Try using glassware or ceramic oven proof containers instead. IF in the past two days since having the meal you have not had any indigestion or tummy upset you will be okay but the toxins released from plastic containers are harmful in the long run. Do take care.
