Anesthesiologist 's  Response
Hello,

What your nephrologist said is right there is no medicine to reduce serum creatinine. In your father's case, the causes of increased creatinine are high blood pressure, gout and ageing. Hence, control of high blood pressure and gout would help in preventing progression of kidney disease. At this point of time we can only halt the progression of worsening of kidney function.

All the medications given by your doctor are perfect and help in improving kidney function. In addition, your father must be on very low liquids be it water or any kind of liquids from food or beverages.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hi,
dear
It's dialysis which can immediately show effect! But in your case, Febuget can work! Control of BP will naturally lower creatinine!

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
