Is There Any Interaction Between Levothyroxine And Losartan Leading To High Blood Pressure?

I am taking levothyroxine 0.05 MG and my blood pressure med is losartan/hctz 100/12.5 mg. Is there any interaction between these 2 medicines. I am having spikes in blood pressure. I take blood pressure before bedtime and thyroid in the morning. About 1 hr after taking thyroid my blood pressure rises a lot.

Hello,
Good day.
Levothyroxine and your hypertensive pills have no interaction and it is safe to take it together.
Your blood pressure tablet contains Hydrochlorothiazide( HCTZ) which is a diuretic and that may cause you to pass urine in night there by disturbing your sleep. It is best to take that pill in the morning. Again, with few weeks of Losartan/hctz combination drug if your BP is still high, it may be prudent to add another drug for high blood pressure at night. Please visit your doctor and get your BP checked at different times of the day. Make sure that you are relaxed and have avoided smoking, tea coffee etc at least one hour before checking BP
