Is There Any Doctor Available To Interpret This Report?

hi doctor, i have a doubt about double marker test, we did just now... trisomy 21+NT Risk (biochemi+NT)== 1:2270 Trisomy 21 (Biochemi)== 1:658 trisomy13/8+NT(Bio+NT)== Age risk== 1:18C Overall:- Trisomy 18 screening, 21 screening == Negative and low risk. Is any abnormal in this test, little worried since low risk is written, (ideally no risk?) pls some guidance on this report please... thanks you for valuable time...

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

The maternal serum multiple marker test is a prenatal screening test using blood from the mother that can help identify women who may be carrying a baby with certain types of birth defects (such as neural tube defects, Down syndrome, and trisomy 18 syndrome).

The reports tell that there is no additional risk and the risk is as expected in the normal standardized population. This means that there are more chances for a completely healthy baby and there is no need to worry.
