Is There An Alternate Treatment Option For Kidney Transplant?
My nephew s age 40 yrs. He has only one Kidney which is damaged due to high sugar. Dialysis continuing for two years. Heart Condition 35% damaged. Doctor said transplantation is not possible at his present health condition. Is there any alternative treatment of artificial kidney transplantation is possible for him
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Dialysis is the only option available as alternate to kidney transplant. His cardiac condition, if improves, can be assessed and taken up for transplant surgery. Since at this stage, he is not fit for surgery, dialysis is the only option to continue with. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
