I was having e coli about a month back and had antibiotics and then after the course of antibiotics i again tested my urine it shows : protien : Trace , Puss cells : 10 - 15 hpf and bacteria present. I had also given it for culture and sensitive test.

Urologist 's  Response
Hi
If the antibiotics given was according to the sensitivity eport then then possible reasons are inadequate duration of antibiotics or presistene of a foci of infection such as stone.
Occasionally pus cells may be present for sometime after the infection is cleared.
I would advice to wait for the culture report and if persistent infection then get an ultrasound of your urinary tract as a minimum.
