Is The Therapy For Anti-thyroglobulin Antibody For Life?

hi,

I was diagonised with hypothyrodism last month.My tsh was 12.99 .I took thyroxine (100mcg) and now my tsh is back to 0.41.t3 is 1.33.But i am detected positive for anti-thyroglobulin antibody which is 111.8 U /ml.My doctor said it is safe to conceive now,is it fine?.And will this auto-immune disease make me take tablets life long?

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.

You had hypothyroidism and it was due to autoimmune thyroiditis.

Your TSH level is under control now.

You can safely conceive now. There is no harm in that.

You have to take thyroxine for long time. Check your T3, T4 , TSH at regular interval and set the dosage accordingly.
